Gaddafi’s Inner Circle Thinning
Despite rumors that certain of Libyan Leader Gaddafi’s oldest supporters have sought refuge in London’s famed Museum of Paleontology, the Al Jumahiriyah regime has steadfastly denied the charges—and posted guards to block any more flight hazards.
It’s bad timing for Gaddafi. The worldwide economic downturn has lowered the value of all but the rarest of human fossils. Even Dubai, once the proud Arab collector of trophies like the first branch of the Louvre, the capacious Vatican museum of relics, and a possible site for the Bush Library, find these acquisitions difficult.
Nonetheless, the Brother Leader is still defiant. According to a government spokesman, “The fight continues.”
