There’s no evidence illegals vote, but GOP Speaker “MAGA Mike” Johnson (photo, left) doesn’t need any evidence. He knows it “intuitively.” (Read story here.)
His press conference on the Capitol steps on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, was as clownish as the movie scene below.
The movie is slapstick, but he pretends to be serious. The blatant lie that non-citizens vote in large numbers, and can do so despite the GOP’s “voting integrity” laws, is part of the GOP’s wide-ranging efforts to delegitimize our democracy.
The irony is they can’t make this claim without also arguing their own legislative efforts are a miserable failure.
