Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland has a “blacklist” that includes people who have participated in demonstrations, journalists who covered demonstrations, and even the mother and sister of a youth killed by Memphis police. It seems he feels threatened by anyone who might criticize him. The mayor apparently has instructed police to listed individuals from city council meetings, and some have been arrested only to have the charges dropped later. Read story here.
