APPLESAUCE: Korea’s “pointer” rocket fails

N. Korea Rocket Launch Fails

North Korea’s long-range rocket launch turned out to be an outright failure. The rocket flew about 75 miles before breaking up into four pieces and crashing into the sea about a minute into the launch. According to NORAD, the first stage of the North Korean missile fell into the ocean, while the other two stages failed.  Sources familiar with negotiations between Cupertino and PyongYang were unclear how this might affect hopes of for a new iFinger plant in Korea.

MK Kim, of the North Korean Ministry of Productivity, issued a statement saying, “Despite the failure of the  launch of the iPointer missile , North Korea’s plans for producing iFinger devices is now a more important step in building  our economic defences against S Korean and especially Samsung’s immoral piracy of the ideas of the now departed Dear Leader Steve Jobs.”
