It looks like Trump wants to be photographed at the Queen’s funeral.
He’s furiously posting photos of himself with her when she was alive (e.g. photo below; see story here).
There are three ways he can attend: (1) With the official U.S. delegation, (2) by invitation, or (3) gatecrashing.
It’s customary to invite former presidents along on U.S. delegations to foreign funerals of important people. This would give Trump the official status he always craves. I’m sure he wouldn’t get a ride on Air Force One, though, due to hijacking concerns; and would either have to hitch a ride on the press plane or arrange his own transportation.
It would be beyond gracious for Biden to invite Trump to join the official party, and also beyond awkward when he acts up and embarrasses everybody, which is why it probably won’t happen.
I don’t see the Brits inviting him, either, if they know what’s good for them; but who knows, maybe this new Conservative Party prime minister will give him a break.
HIs final option is to invite himself, using a stolen White House press pass to get past security, and then climb over the rope and clamber onto the red carpet, which is where he thinks he belongs.
