“School had just started for the year on Monday,” the CNN story begins (here).
“A suspect approached the victim, 17, during dismissal. The encounter became heated, and the suspect … also 17, shot at the victim multiple times …. School police performed CPR on the student at the scene, who … was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at a local hospital.”
The shooter, a student from another high school (why was he at this school?), was arrested by school police “within seconds of the incident.”
There’s your answer to people who argue the solution to school shootings is arming teachers and/or more cops in schools. That won’t work as long as kids can get guns. Now think about how to keep guns away from kids.
