Across the country, Republicans are banning books from public schools.
It’s no different in Keller, Texas, where Christian nationalists recently won control of the school board.
Ignoring previous work by a district committee, they concocted a policy that any resident of the school district or parent of a student can challenge school library materials, which are then pulled from the shelves.
The Bible is gone.
That probably wasn’t what they intended. It’s an unintended consequence, also known as a carelessly stepped-on rake.
