“A vegan-hating New York man was arrested Tuesday morning after he allegedly made a series of death threats against an upstate fruit festival,” Daily Mail reported on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 (read story here).
William Swift, 32, was charged in a Brooklyn federal court with “menacing organizers and attendees of … a ‘vegan health retreat’ and ‘an all-out celebration of health, fruit-based diet and personal growth,'” Daily Mail said.
A motive wasn’t specified; maybe he had a bad experience with broccoli (see photo at left). Got stuck in his teeth or something.
This is no joke, though. He allegedly threatened a mass shooting at the fruit festival, made death threats against specific individuals, and had threatened to shoot up a public park, so he may be off the streets for a while.
