Election 2022: Sarah Palin vs. Santa Claus

Alaska has one seat in Congress (plus two senators), and Sarah Palin is running for it.

She shouldn’t be elected, of course, after being elected governor and quitting halfway through her term. Then followed by her antics as John McCain’s running mate, and her family’s spectacular meltdown. She comes across as someone who tries to be an airhead.

But Alaska is a funny state politically, and it may be up to Santa Claus to stop her from transporting her turkey antics to Washington D.C.

Currently, Santa Claus (photo below) is a city council member in North Pole, Alaska. A Bernie bro, he’s been described as “a bastion of blue on a city council as red as Rudolph’s nose.” For a more complete profile, go here.

Claus says if elected, he’ll be a one-termer, because he believes younger people should step up. He’s not real specific about what he supports other than saying he won’t let Trump push him around. In the current political climate, that’s way good enough, and then some. He has my endorsement. Vote Claus!
