Who’s still dying from Covid-19?

“People 65 and older account for about 75 percent of U.S. Covid deaths,” NBC News reported on Friday, May 13, 2022 (story here).

“And some risk persists, even for seniors who have completed an initial two-dose series of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine or gotten one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.”

That’s because, “Among older people who died of Covid in January, 31 percent had completed a first vaccination round but had not been boosted, according to … CDC data,” NBC News said.

So, Covid-19 continues to threaten senior citizens the most, and it’s crucial they get their booster shots (most are vaccinated). But that doesn’t mean anti-vaxxers are home free. They’re not. With experts predicting everyone will get infected sooner or later, the unvaccinated are asking for it.
