A large clinical trial in Canada has confirmed what medical experts say about treating Covid-19 with ivermectin: It doesn’t work. At all.
“In the largest trial yet analyzing the effectiveness of ivermectin on treating the coronavirus, … researchers found that Covid-19 patients at risk of severe illness who received ivermectin did no better than those prescribed a placebo,” Mother Jones reported here on Saturday, March 20, 2022 (from a Wall Street Journal story).
One of the researchers said, “There was no indication that ivermectin is clinically useful,” the Los Angeles Daily News said (in a story here).
This study “should really help put to rest ivermectin and not give any credibility to the use of it for Covid-19,” the dean of the tropical medicine school at Baylor medical school told the Wall Street Journal.
I doubt it. Studies won’t put anything to rest. The people who tout these pills are in denial. They won’t get vaccinated, either. There’s no cure for stupidity.
