Russian general killed in Ukraine

Maj. Gen. Andrei Sukhovetsky (photo, left), 47, a Russian Spetsnaz commander and deputy army commander, has been killed in Ukraine, reportedly taken out by a sniper (story here).

His death, reported by Ukraine, has been confirmed by non-official Russian sources.

Ukrainian tourism isn’t what it used to be.

Meanwhile, Reuters reports some Russians are fleeing to other countries from soaring prices, rumors of martial law, and to avoid mobilization or conscription (read that story here).
