Pelosi’s $25 million Florida mansion

… is a fake story.

Why do Republicans lie so much?

Because (1) they’re wrong on the issues, (2) think they’re doing God’s work and that makes lying okay, and (3) have no character and lack the normal inhibitions of people who live in civilized societies.

Read the fake story here, and the debunking here.

It’s not that she can’t afford it; she can. Her husband is a wealthy businessman and investor; the Pelosis are worth an estimated $120 million. What’s the implication here? That she profits from holding public office through graft, corruption, and/or bribes? Or is it simply a knock on “rich liberals” (implying, as it does, that such people don’t represent or understand the hard-working Americans who attend Trump rallies and get screwed by Republican economic policies)? Who knows?

A vast rightwing propaganda system churns out fabricated smears against Democrats and “liberals” to stir up anger and foment hate instead of promoting reasonable political discourse and reasoned debate of public issues. Once on the fringe, now nearly every Republican office holder and candidate participates in it, so you can’t believe anything coming from the right anymore, because so much of it is lies. If a majority of Americans tune them out, it’s their own fault; they made this bed for themselves.
