Americans don’t understand the Taliban

Taliban leaders had a massive brawl after disagreeing over which of them did the most to boot the US out of Afghanistan, report says

  • Two factions in the Taliban leadership fought each other late last week, the BBC said.
  • They disagreed over who did the most to kick out the US, and who should get certain cabinet jobs.
  • The leader of one side, Taliban cofounder Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, hasn’t been seen since.

Afghanistan isn’t a country, it’s a place where many tribes live. Within the tribes, there are clans; and within the clans, families. They like to fight, and when there are no foreigners to fight, they fight each other. That’s why all their houses look like forts. Russia, America, Pakistan, China, and other countries don’t have to kill them; if we all leave them alone, they’ll kill each other.
