A Catholic school in Michigan sued to overturn a state mask mandate, arguing that “God created us in His image, we are masking that image.”
An Ohio GOP state legislator refused to wear a mask using a similar argument.
Across the U.S., people claiming to be Christians tender arguments like, “The Bible says we’re made in the image of God and Satan tries to cover that up.” In other words, if you wear a mask, you’ve given in to the Devil. That’s not in the Bible.
This is: You are your brother’s keeper. (Genesis 4:9)
