While there was no widespread voting fraud in the 2020 election, which Joe Biden easily won, there were isolated acts of individual voting fraud here and there.
For example, Bruce Bartman, 70, a Pennsylvania man (photo, left), was charged with two counts of felony perjury and one count of unlawful voting for registering his mother and mother-in-law, both deceased, to vote and then voting under his dead mother’s name.
His attorney says Bartman, a Trump supporter, considered it “an act of civil disobedience.” His candidate lost in that state anyway.
On Friday, May 2, 2021, he pleaded guilty. He got off easy; he won’t go to prison. He got 5 years of probation. Read story here and here. Meanwhile, Crystal Mason, a black woman in Texas, got 5 years in prison for casting a provisional ballot that wasn’t counted after being instructed to do so by a poll worker (read about her here).
