This cartoon is meant as humor, but contains a truism: Despite Biden’s bipartisan aspirations, realistically Democrats can’t negotiate with Republicans because they stonewall and their positions are unreasonable. Nor do Republicans represent America; their 50 senators were elected with 41,549,808 fewer votes than the Democrats’ 50 senators (story here). On issues from guns to health safety, Republicans are out of step with the majority of us. What Democrats are trying to do in Congress is marginally chip away at the conservative tyranny ruling over us.
