Trump stiffs ex-bodyguard for cheeseburger tab

Donald Trump is famous for not paying his bills. (Whether he also cheats on his taxes is for prosecutors, and ultimately the courts, to determine.)

Even tiny debts, it seems.

A guy who claims to be a multi-billionaire still owes his former bodyguard $130 for money the bodyguard loaned him in 2008 to buy cheeseburgers, and apparently has no intention of ever repaying the guy, whom he fired in 2012. The ex-bodyguard says, “He still owes me money for McDonald’s. He told me he would pay me back, but he never did. I thought he was an okay guy when I first started working for him, but I guess that as we have all come to see, he is not a man of his word.”

Maybe Trump simply forgot because he had bigger things on his mind, for example, his money-losing Scottish golf course. Or maybe he was too busy eating to think about paying for the food.

If I were that guy, I’d sue Trump in small claims court, then file judgment liens against all his golf courses.

I think the guy is SOL unless Trump should decide to pay him back. Who knows maybe trump did and it was in a paycheck between 2008 and 2012. the guy has not shown a contract, and even if there was one most likely the time has run. If no contract the time has tolled. There is always “America’s Court with Judge Ross.” Maybe Trump would like to wave to the court. He gets a favorable ruling and then pays the guy.

Verbal agreements sometimes can create legally binding contracts, and there is no statute of limitations in Judge Ross’ TV court.
