Dr. Fauci wins “Israeli Nobel Prize” for defending science

The Dan David Foundation based at Tel Aviv University awarded Dr. Fauci the Dan David Prize for “courageously defending science in the face of uninformed opposition during the challenging COVID crisis,” The Hill reported on Monday, February 15, 2021.

The announcement doesn’t identify the “uninformed opposition” by name. It didn’t need to. We all know who its chief cheerleader is.

Dan David was a businessman who made his money in the photo booth business (read about him here) and endowed a series of prizes (read about them here) for “outstanding achievement” in the sciences, modeled after the Nobel Prizes created by Alfred Nobel, inventor of dynamite.
