John Bolton (bio here), a notorious Republican warmonger who dodged the Vietnam draft, and years later under G.W. Bush was “the most controversial ambassador ever sent by America to the United Nations,” and more recently signed up to be Trump’s national security adviser and then tried to push him into a war with Iran, is appalling in his own right.
So, when he calls someone else “appalling,” i.e., appalling by Bolton’s low standards, you take notice. In this short video, Bolton, reacting to a White House meeting on Friday, December 18, 2020, that descended into a shouting match (read that story here) in which pardoned felon Michael Flynn again urged Trump to invoke martial law and use the military to seize voting machines and rerun the election in the swing states he lost, Bolton excuses Trump’s participation in this as “incompetence by someone who hasn’t read the Constitution” and doesn’t know what’s in it, and remarks that it’s his advisers’ job to talk him out of such ideas, but fails to suggest that Flynn (who once was an adviser, and now purports to be advising Trump again) deserves to be tied to a stake and given the treatment ordinarily doled out to traitors of his ilk who seek to violently overthrow goverments.
This is probably the only time I’m ever going to agree with Bolton: Yes, it’s appalling. And for God’s sake, why am I posting about people holding Oval Office discussions about martial law, military coups, and overthrowing our government? This is who’s occupying the White House? They all need crate training.
Charge Flynn with treason.
Holding on to power not theirs, and not willing to let go. This is not about democracy and what is best for America, this is about Trump with charges and investigations proceeding once he leaves the presidency. Will Trump willingly leave the White House or will he be carried out tranquilized like a dinosaur in Jurassic Park? Trump has a downward financial spiral and the bank loans of hundreds of millions of dollars to face up to that will be coming due. Putin should pay Trump for the breach and spying into the Pentagon, Treasury dept, and all the free look arounds. Agent Trump didn’t seem to mind the intelligence breach of America’s security and defense.
Why was this not mentioned? Why doesn’t Trump speak out more about this and the concern?
Because he doesn’t care.
Flynn, should never have been pardoned. If he commits another crime, which he is treading on, he needs to be investigated for colluding in order to overthrow our government.
Investigate, charge and lock Flynn up again. Perhaps there will be more investigations and trump could be charged and locked up or he could flee to Israel or Russia with his Eastern European wife and dual citizenship son-in-law
He’s too preoccupied with sulking to worry about the country. Which may not be a bad thing …
