Judge rejects last-ditch attack on Michigan results

A federal judge appointed by Obama on Monday, December 7, 2020, threw out a lawsuit by Republican voters and poll workers who claimed there was “systemic … old-fashioned ballot stuffing” in Wayne County, home of Detroit, where 80% of the voters are black.

The lawsuit, which sought to block Michigan officials from filing certified election results, cited a baseless conspiracy theory about software developed by “foreign actors” flipping vote tallies. The judge wasn’t having it. “Plaintiffs ask this court to ignore the orderly statutory scheme established to challenge elections and to ignore the will of millions of voters,” she wrote in her ruling.

As for whether ballot boxes were stuffed in Detroit to help Biden win, Trump got 65% more votes there than he did in 2016 (12,654 now vs. 7,682 then), and nearly doubled her share of the total vote (5% now vs. 3%), so if anybody benefited from ballot-box stuffing, it probably was him.
