This ex-fighter pilot shouldn’t be allowed near the Pentagon

This article contains news and liberal commentary.

“President Donald Trump’s nominee to become a senior Pentagon official spread debunked conspiracies on Twitter that called Trump’s election loss to Joe Biden a ‘coup’ attempt and shared tweets that suggest Trump should declare martial law,” CNN reported on Friday, December 4, 2020.

“Scott O’Grady, a former fighter pilot and Trump loyalist, repeatedly retweeted tweets that falsely stated Trump won the election in ‘landslide fashion’ and that millions of votes were stolen from the President,” CNN said.
“On November 25, O’Grady retweeted a tweet that said, ‘Trump won & Biden & his Comrades will now attempt a coup,’ next to a photoshopped image of Biden beside Xi Jinping, the President of China.
“On December 2, he retweeted an account that shared an article that said former national security adviser Michael Flynn had … called for martial law … then retweeted the same account which suggested that Trump should declare martial law. ‘I don’t know who needs to hear this,’ the account said, ‘But calling for martial law is not a bad idea when there is an attempted coup against the president and this country happening right now.'”
This is the same guy whose F-16 was shot down in 1995 and was rescued after evading capture during President Clinton’s Bosnia-Herzegovina intervention that halted a Serbian genocide. He must have hit his head on the canopy while ejecting, because he seems not quite right in the head now.

Look, the Republican Party isn’t a legitimate political party anymore. It’s opposed to democracy. It’s a group of crazy people who traffic in lies, nutty conspiracy theories, brandish guns at rallies and in public buildings, threaten the lives of public officials, and openly talk about civil war and violently overthrowing our elected government.
Those are the undeniable facts. It’s too bad, because this country needs political competition to bring out the best leaders and ideas, but we don’t have healthy politics; and the way things are going, we may not even have a country, because these people are trying to tear it down.

No ones political speech. Even if that speech seem over the top particularly by the partisans on the other side of the aisle means they are permanently black listed or censored. This man can go to the Pentagon as can any American ok many won’t get past the welcome gate and areas open to the public, and he can certainly apply for and even get a Federal Job.
The late hour filling of positions is now a time honored way of keeping cohorts on station long after an administration has left the building. And the in coming administration cannot fire all of them all at once, but is welcome to try.
We all get to engage in political mischief and fun and misdeeds. It is the American way. All sides have their wackadoodles and they are what make politics fun and perhaps you all are taking yourselves much to seriously, just think of the fun that will be had with the gentleman in office, of course he was a pain in the ass for Serbs and Croats and survived and all that service to country will get him more than thanks for your service or a cup of coffee he will actually get to make a difference in our military plans and hijinks. Can’t wait.

  2. Why are so many trump followers behaving as if they are temporarily insane? #

Is he insane or just acting and tweeting bogus conspiracies to boost support for trump?

trump supporters get a grip. Your leader lost. Move on. If you love America like you all claim,
then help heal our country by choosing more positive political rhetoric.
