Conservative twitter feeds and blogs are going bonkers over this photo, which Richard Grenell shared with 671,000 followers.
Grenell, according to Wikipedia (here), is a “staunch Trump loyalist … named by Trump in 2020 as Acting Director of National Intelligence … from February to May 2020. During his short tenure, he politicized the DNI, turning it into an arm to aid President Trump. In the lead-up to the 2020 election, Grenell spread falsehoods about Democratic candidate Joe Biden.”
The photo is real, but what Grenell didn’t share is that it’s from November 2019, before Covid-19 arrived in the U.S.
