Coronavirus? What Coronavirus?

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, is the most aggressive of all governors at keeping her state’s economy open. “The Republican governor has disparaged restrictions to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus, emphasizing personal responsibility,” CBS News says. That’s why she sowed.

This is what she reaped:

“South Dakota health officials reported all-time highs for the toll of the coronavirus on Thursday …. State epidemiologist Josh Clayton said communities statewide – from cities to rural areas – are seeing significant levels of the virus. … The state has seen the nation’s second-highest number of new infections per capita over the last two weeks, with 578 new cases per 100,000 people, according to Johns Hopkins researchers.”

Does she care? Nah. Republicans have made clear their priority is the economy, not saving lives.
