Sophia Chang and her sister were eating dinner and minding their own business at the Bluewater Grill in Newport Beach, California, on Saturday, September 12, 2020, when James Hilbrant walked past them while going to the men’s room and said, “Go back to Wuhan.”
When he came back and they asked him what he was talking about he said, “I don’t speak Chinese.” Chang and her sister are Korean-Americans. And, unfortunately for Hilbrant, Chang is an entrepreneur with an Instagram following of 800,000+ people.
