Trump crony won’t let postal workers plug in mail sorters

“Have you stopped slowing mail delivery of my life-saving medications yet?”

“No, but we’re not going to slow it any further for now. Vote for us.”

While Postmaster General Louis DeJoy may be suspending changes to postal service operations, it doesn’t … mean machines that had been removed will be put back in use, according to an email obtained by CNN. The email … instructs postal workers not to reconnect any mail sorting machines that have previously been disconnected.”

“‘Please message out to your respective Maintenance Managers tonight,’ wrote Kevin Couch, a director of maintenance operations. ‘They are not to reconnect/reinstall machines that have been previously disconnected without approval from HQ Maintenance, no matter what direction they are getting from their plant manager.'” (Read story here.)
Slowing the mails coincides with (a) Trump’s appointing and meeting with a major donor and political ally without postal experience (but with conflicts of interest) as postmaster general, and (b) Trump’s attacks on mail voting (but only in blue states), which (c) has led Democrats to accuse him of trying to sabotage the November election, which he more or less admits.
A Republican lieutenant governor had already suggested sacrificing senior citizens to reopen the economy. Now Trump is willing to sacrifice veterans, too, if it will help him win an election where he’s badly trailing in polls, because the American people don’t want him (and didn’t want him in the first place).
For comedian Sarah Cooper’s hilarious takedown of Trump’s antics, watch video here. But seriously, it’s not funny. Trump and his henchmen are tampering with your most basic right — the right to vote. He’s also threatening to send armed goons to polling places. This is the stuff of tinpot dictators and banana republics.
