Putin tries to whack critic

A leading Putin critic, anti-corruption activist, and opposition party leader is near death after being poisoned for a second time in 2 years. Alexei Navalny was flying from Siberia to Moscow when he became violently ill after drinking tea. He is unconscious, on a ventilator, and “gravely ill” in a hospital, which usually means death is only hours away. Doctors said he was poisoned. Navalny, 44, is not one of Putin’s most favorite people; he’s been arrested and jailed on trumped up charges several times. Putin, an ex-KGB agent, has a history of jailing and killing critics and political opponents, typically by poisoning them. This isn’t good; he might give his biggest admirer ideas.
