Time can choose whoever it wants as person of the year, but with that choosing should come criticism. Why is not the person Roger Rabbit or the owner of this blog? Could that bring attention to the media and how things are in the media. Greta is a safe uncontroversial choice, but why not the new President of Ukraine since apparently the Ukranian’s are the kingmakers in America’s democracy. The ruled should know their rulers.
Time’s criterion is newsworthiness, not morality. That’s why Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin were on Time covers. But being a decent human being doing good isn’t disqualifying. That’s why people like Mother Teresa and Greta Thunberg are on Time covers, too.
