Imagine a Jew in Germany being forced to use a Euro bearing Hitler’s face?

Imagine a Jew in Germany having to use Euroes emblazoned with Hitler?  Now imagine an African American or an indigenous American being paid in $20 bills emblazoned with a brutal slave owner who exterminated huge numbers of Indigenous people.

Trump has decided that Harriet Tubman will appear on the $20 bill as soon as  Jesus Returns. This fulfills one of his campaign promises because, as he describes the Taubman bill, she is ugly and only on the $20 because it is politically correct.

MNUCHUN: “The primary reason we have looked at redesigning the currency is for counterfeiting issues,” Mnuchin said in response to questions by Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., during a hearing before the House Financial Services Committee. “Based upon this, the $20 bill will now not come out until 2028. The $10 bill and the $50 bill will come out with new features beforehand.”

THE FACTS: The $20 has long been offensive to many Americans because the seventh President of the US was a brutal slaver, the murderer of thousands of indigenous Americans and a Confederate whose actions led the country to the Civil War.   Then in 2016 we had an African American President who was committed to equality for ALL Americans.  Obama’s  Treasury Secretary,  Jack Lew, conducted a 10-month process in which the department sought input from the public. A lot of Americans wanted to get rid of the rancid smell of Andrew Jackson from OUR currency.  Lew explained “The decision to put Harriet Tubman on the new $20 was driven by thousands of responses we received from Americans young and old. have been particularly struck by the many comments and reactions from children for whom Harriet Tubman is not just a historical figure, but a role model for leadership and participation in our democracy.” The final choice was the great force behind the underground railroad, Harriet Taubman.

Rep Ayanna Pressley of Boston, Mass .. a seat once held by Sam Adams, said it well ..

Rep Ayanna Pressley tweeted People other than white men built this county. And Sec Mnuchin agrees, yet he refuses to update our currency!  Harriet Taubaman, Marian Anderson, and Ealanor Roosevelt  are iconic Americans & its past time that our currency reflects that.

Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., introduced a bill earlier this year that would direct the Treasury to print Tubman’s portrait on all new $20 bills starting in 2021. Meanwhile, doing what I can, I will refuse any $20 in trade and if I do get one I will de and that my bank change it into real US currency.

Whose face is on the North Korean money? Not much input from the people on who should be on their money there.

Change history a little bit and Hitler’s face well could be on the Euro either because Germany won WWII ane brought about a European Union or because he died just prior or immediately after the invasion of Poland, during the phony war in the west.

The Obama administration should have manned up and put the new twenty and five or whatever else out, but thought Hilliary Clinton would win and did not make it a priority and the Harriet Tubman $20 essentially died back in 2018 officially. While Congress has a part, but it is whoever the Secretary of the Treasury is at the time a new bill comes out that has the final say. Still there are plenty of two dollar bills available, and dollar coins.

And frankly if all I have is a twenty and it is legal currency then the Senator should accept it as I am sure she has accepted plenty of twenties as campaign contributions. And just because a new twenty comes out that does not mean all the twenties in circulation are no longer legal tender. So Andy Jackson will be with us for a long time. And he deserves to be on our nations money far more than Adolf Hitler who appeared on Germany’s money and stamps when he was in power, rather than after death as is the case in most western democracies. Some might suggest that the Spirit of Democracy and other Spirits such as that should be on our money rather than any living or dead individual. Such spirits and goddesses did appear on our money at one time in our nations history.
