The gauzy patina and absence of human figures are identifying features of Hitler art. He aspired to be an architect, and could do architectural renderings, but drew and painted people either poorly or not at all. The young, penniless, homeless “artist” would be chagrined to know his surviving work sells today for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Of course, notoriety helps. It probably wouldn’t be worth much if he wasn’t one of history’s evil monsters.
