White cop pulls gun on 4 black students for broken tail light

A Lynchburg, Virginia cop ordered 4 black college students out of their car at gunpoint, ordered them to the ground, and handcuffed them after pulling them over for a broken tail light.

The cop claimed he “smelled marijuana,” but no drugs were found on the students or in their car.

The police department is refusing to release the officer’s name. The students, whose college coach has come to their defense, are crying foul and claim they were racially profiled. In most places, it would be highly unusual for a white driver to be arrested at gunpoint for a broken tail light. No word yet on whether the students plan to sue.
