A single voter decided control of Alaska legislature

Think your vote doesn’t matter?

A single voter decided which party will control Alaska’s lower house. Republicans also won the governorship and state senate after the November elections.

Before the recount, LeBon and Dodge were tied at 2,662 votes apiece. After the recount, LeBon had 2,663 votes to Dodge’s 2,662 votes. The result is still subject to a potential court challenge.
