UW deficit $325,000,000

The Seattle Times ran this number today.

While the Times focuses on the Dental School and the Medical School, they are less than a third of the problem.    I would like to know where this comes from in terms of the different activities the UW has.  Is there an online source that breaks this down by different UW activities?  The branch campuses?  Different schools and colleges? Administration?  Teaching vs Research?

The article talks mainly about efforts top get more money from the legislature.  The Times, however, might tell us whether this deficit reflects a failure of the Huskies to make their way or, perhaps,  the costs of running two branch campuses that have not achieved the independent status of regional branches of state universities in states like California.

In the shadow of the last will and testament by Paul Allen I also wonder whether the UW’s massive development office is cost effective.  With the exception of Messers Gates and Allen it seems obvious that the Huskies are nor a prime interest of Seattle’s many, many billionaire philanthropists.  Why is that?

For a start, why don’t you justify exactly what it is you do to earn your generous state salary–especially since all you ever seem to do is post on this incredibly stupid site and Facebook all day long?
