SUNDAY REVELATIONS: The 60th Anniversary of the Death of a Seattle Martyr

Riddle me this .. the founding Governor of our state, Isaac Stephens, wrote in his diary that he knew that putting the indigenes of this land into reservations would kill them off. Governor Stephens was a devout Christian, do you suppose he went to his death (as a civil war hero) knowing he was forgiven?

On the other hand., another Washingtonian, Leschi, rebelled because Stephens had condemned his people to a reserve where there was no soil to farm and no forest to hunt in. Chief Leschi attacked Seattle and killed one of the marines guarding the stockade. Leschi was tried (in absentia), convicted, caught and hanged. Is he in Christian heaven?
