President Trump has decided to force Democrats to fund his border wall by taking vulnerable children as hostages. During the campaign, he promised his supporters that Mexico would pay for the wall, but Mexico’s president refused in vulgar language to pay a peso.
CBS News reports: “President Trump says there won’t be protection for young immigrants brought into the country illegally unless he gets funding for a border wall and other items. (He) said on Twitter Friday: ‘The Democrats have been told, and fully understand, that there can be no DACA without the desperately needed WALL at the Southern Border and an END to the horrible Chain Migration & ridiculous Lottery System of Immigration etc.’ …. ” (Read story here.)
DACA refers to “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals,” an Obama-era program that protected so-called “Dreamers” from immediate deportation provided they obeyed laws and stayed in school. “Dreamers” are children who were brought into the country illegally, usually by their parents and often at a young age. Some have no memory of their native countries.
Trump is threatening to deport them into alien cultures where they may not speak the language or have relatives willing to take care of them.
