(News.COM from Australia) According to reports Kusher met with Russia ambassador Sergey Kislyak, a month after Trump was elected.
The meeting was also attended by former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.
The White House has not responded to the speculation.
Mr Kusher has been accompanying President Trump on his current trip to the Middle East and Europe.
The report comes days after former FBI Director Robert Mueller was appointed special counsel to head up the investigation into alleged links between President Trump’s campaign and The Kremlin.
