Dakota Pipeline: How we got here

Jonathan Tong FACEBOOK
In case you didn’t know, the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) was originally supposed to run north of the state capitol of Bismarck, but was rejected by the city partly because of threats to its water supply.

The company then rerouted the pipeline to cross under the Missouri River less than 10 miles from the Standing Rock tribe’s drinking water intake, and half a mile from the reservation boundary.

Environmental documents filed by the company show that during its permit application the tribe was not even listed in the entities consulted.

Apparently red lives don’t matter as much a white lives.
