Chris Wallace .. FAUX News claims of credibility

chris-wallace-icoWallace has gotten a lot of undeserved credit for his performance at debate 3

Lets start with a simple fact, he is not the son of Mike Wallce, except by a biological accident.  Chris W was born to Mike W but the Wallaces had a divorce and the younger W was raised by Ed Leonard, the President of CBS.  Wallace’s career smells very much more of nepotism than it does of magnetic or intellectual tries to Mike Wallace.

Moving on, Chris Wallace is registered as a Democrat but has never been involved in progressive or Democratic policies. He lives in a  district where only Democrats can run for local office. If he did not register in the D column, Mr. Wallace would have no vote.

Wallace was hired by Roger Ailes as  the last name of Mike Wallace. “Wallace” and give Fox News some air of credibility.

While a lot smoother than O’Reilly or Hannity, Chris Wallace reads the same set of talking points.  And in the 3rd Debate, Mr. Wallace tired mightily to help the Donald with soft balls while exposing the audience to a large dose of right-wing misinformation:

Examples:

The  question about the economy began with the false premise that President Obama’s 2009 stimulus plan damaged the economy.

The question about immigration took Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s 2013 comments about “open borders” grossly out of context and implied she wants free immigration.  When the Donald picked up the meme, Wallace smiled.

Like the Donald, the Christopher echoed  the right-wing myth of “partial-birth” abortion, a non-medical term invented by anti-abortion groups. This provoked an opportunity for Trump to claim that obstetricians are ripping viable babies out of their mother’s wombs.

And then there is social security.  Wallace falsely alleged that programs like Social Security and Medicare are going to run out of money.. as if entitlements rather than defense and debt payments (NOTE: Social Security finances the debt, it does not add to it because the social security fund is invested into federal bonds!).
