The great Margaret Burke White, Life magazine photographer, took this picture of smiling inmates .. days after my Dad entered the camp to give medical care. It is so horrid to know some of these men, smiling as is they are campers, have lived to tell their stories but died while my brother Hugh has tried to destroy my father’s pictures.
