Sound Transit’s Eyman ploy

eymansaber-769147Sound Transit is trying to sabotage opposition to its $54 billion fall ballot proposition, dubbed “ST3,” by appointing Tim Eyman to write the oppo statement for the voters pamphlet. Yes, that Tim Eyman, the initiative entrepreneur under investigation for allegedly embezzling campaign funds.

The idea, of course, is to discredit ST3’s opponents by associating them with Tim Eyman in voters’ minds.

I guess we shouldn’t be surprised that Sound Transit would stoop to such a cynical ploy to win an election they should lose. It’s not like they don’t have credibility problems of their own. If voters pass this turkey, they will deserve the massive tax bill they’re going to get for something that won’t even be built within the lifetimes of some of us. Read story here.

Why does Sound Transit get to choose who speaks for the opposition in the voters pamphlet?

I am also voting No to this property tax hike scheme at $54 billion dollars. Property taxes and car license fees will increase.

Didn’t UnSound Taxpits promise in 1996 that the Angle Lake station would be built by 2006? Now it is 2016 and UnSound Taxpits is promising the station might be completed by 2021, but they need more tax money….taxpit.
