Just listed and down the street from my house.
Redfin says the taxes are less than mine!
My wife insisted this must be an error .. but she looked it up. The assessed value on the house is $2 million. The taxable value $0 !
I looked it up in the county listing: for 2015 appraised value: (land + house) 2,569,000. TAXABLE value: 0. WTF????

Are you KIDDING me? :-O I was in this house about 2005 before the new owners got hold of it…only to turn the interior into a generic and totally cookie-cutter Mc Mansion. Great setting…great exterior…too bad they ripped the heart and soul out of the place. I will take my fifteen million and look elsewhere. 🙁 🙁 🙁
According to Zillow, it sold for $10,960,000 in 2018, taxes were $15,787 in 2019, and the property was relisted in February 2022 with an asking price of $16,000,000, and annual taxes are now $48,562. The seller, Boris Nikolic, is connected with Bill Gates and the late Jeffrey Epstein (see story here).
