Although Bernie Sanders’s action figure has still not been released, Bernie the candidate survived another night .. winning in Oregon and squeaking out a near loss in Kentucky, what now?

The message to the Democratic Party is clear, the Party needs to get its act together and harness the energy Bernie has released into real action.

Bernie can choose … be remembered as a Chinese made doll like GI Joe and Barbie, or be remembered as a great leader who reformed the Democratic Party.

A good night for Hillary Clinton: the May string of primaries considered to be Sanders-friendly has run it’s course, and he’s dented her delegate lead by

SUPER DELEGATE SWITCHES TO CLINTON  Emmett Hansen II, a Democratic Party super delegate in the U.S. Virgin Islands, announced today that he’s flipping his support from Bernie Sanders to Hillary Clinton. His official reason being given is a lack of policy specifics on the part of Sanders. But the Sanders campaign has been built around generic angry rhetoric and a lack of specifics to begin with. In that regard the timing can’t be overlooked, as the change of heart comes just two days after Bernie Sanders supporters got violent at the Nevada democratic convention, and Sanders himself refused to distance himself from their behavior.

just 15.

Bernie didn’t get the blowouts he needed, not even close. Taking the super delegates into account (since they are not imaginary friends, and they aren’t budging), Clinton is about 90 delegates short of clinching the nomination. This is less than 10% of the delegates remaining to be selected. There’s a decent chance she’ll clinch before the polls even close in California on June 7. If not, California will have the chance to put her over the top by a comfortable margin, whether she wins the state overall or not.
To my friends supporting Sanders, his narrow path of a month ago has dissolved. Prepare yourself to support a very determined, progressive nibbler and grinder. Hillary is likely to consolidate and extend Obama’s gains, and to achieve what she can of the parts of the progressive agenda that she and Bernie share. This is vastly better than what could be expected from a Trump presidency, and far less dangerous. I also think it would be far better than a Sanders presidency, but you don’t have to agree with me on that to agree that she should be elected over Trump, and that it’s worth your effort to achieve that.
