BREAKING NEWS: SCOTUS Overturns One Person One Vote

Back when the Constitution was written, only the Southern states had large numbers of slaves. Counting salves as part of the population would greatly increase the South’s political power.  The Southern states  argued in favor of counting slaves. Northern states disagreed. The delegates compromised. Each slave would count as three-fifths of a person.

But, of course, slaves could not vote.

Today, we still do that except that today’s slaves, each immigrant, including illegal immigrants , counts for a full vote!

The number of Congressmen assigned to immigrant rich states depends on the total population of these GOP run states. For example, in Arizona  six percent of the population are illegals.

That number is even higher in red districts where far right GOP Congressman get to run because the census counts the illegals in the population!  For example, one in seven residents is a non-citizen in California, which picked up six seats after the last census. One in 10 residents is a non-citizen in New York, Texas, and Florida, the states that gained the other three seats. The numbers are even larger in some districts — 43 percent of the population in California’s immigrant-heavy 31st district is made up of non-citizens, while in the 34th district, 38 percent are non-citizens. In Florida’s 21st district, 28 percent of the population is non-citizen, and in New York’s 12th district the number is 23 percent.

Now the the U.S. Supreme Court, in a rare unanimous decision, has just ruled that states may rely on total population, and not just eligible voter population, when redrawing voter districts.”  Even more disturbing, it was conservatives whoi argued that “ope perosn, one vote” should only refer to eligible voters.   Liberal hypocrisy is at work here.
