Michael Hood: After she fainted

The story: At the Monday Mache in Madame Bernard (our local big city) an old woman near me under a thatch market shelter, fell down with a cry.
I was being silly with my iphone with a flock of little girls on the adjacent path. We all turned to look as the woman’s friends or family jumped to her side.
She fainted, came to, was in some pain, and sobbed quietly. They gathered her wares in big pieces of fabric and the basins you see, found a man with a horse, and loaded it up. Finally they got her to her feet and led her slowly away. The mangoes and avocados rode; the old lady walked…
