Michael scares toddlers

I scare small children in this place- the 3 and 4 year olds, the toddlers. At first they’re just wide-eyed, but as I draw nearer, they burst into terrified, seemingly inconsolable screaming.
I’m a lumbering pale monster with hair crazed by subtropical humidity.
They’re inexperienced- toddlers are famous for that. The mothers can’t stop laughing as they scoop-up their babies who then jam their fear-contorted faces into the mamas’ necks.
If they’re more than 5, I’m merely a curiosity to be prodded to see if I’ll do something peculiar that entertains them. I try to come up to these expectations whenever possible.
I’m considering, however, getting a haircut.
