Sen. Ted Cruz, a Bible-thumping GOP presidential candidate, argued Saturday it’s okay for U.S. airstrikes to inflict innocent casualties.
“Addressing the military campaign in Iraq and Syria, Cruz … hinted at revising the U.S. military’s rules of engagement, saying that ISIS will ‘not be deterred by targeted airstrikes with zero tolerance for civilian casualties, when the terrorists have such utter disregard for innocent life.'”
This is straight out of the Old Testament. An eye for eye: If they kill innocent people, then we will, too! That evens the score by making us as bad as them. He doesn’t care; his bombs, their village, you know how that goes. Read the story here.
