The results are in: 2014 was the warmest year ever. But that record probably won’t last beyond next December.
Fourteen of the 15 warmest years on record have occurred since 1997. The evidence of a warming planet is irrefutable, and nearly all reputable scientists have concluded that mankind’s burning of fossil fuels is causing it.
But that doesn’t stop the climate deniers. No amount of data will ever persuade faith-based non-believers. What to do? Ignore them. And don’t elect them to policy making positions, such as Congress. As Sen. Bernie Sanders said, it’s hard to do serious things if you deny science.
