Bibi’s Political Trip to Mourn Charlie Hebdo

Paris with BibiBibi is an awful diplomat.

According to Haaretz, Bibi Netanyahu was asked not to attend Paris’s rally to honor the fallen cartoonists and other victims of last week’s terror attack on Charlie Hebdo.  President Hollande made the request to keep the affair a European affair and avoid both international summit politics and an election campaign by the beleaguered leader of Israel’s fragile right wing coalition.

Of course, the PLO’s Abbas was also asked not to attend and agreed.

Then Paris learned that while Bibi was not coming, he was, instead,  sending his even more controversial Foreign Secretary, Avigdor Lieberman.  Lieberman is noted for publicly racist comments and for advocating a one Israel policy that would erase the Palestinian nascent state.

Hollande responded with the only choice left … inviting Bibi and Abbas.

While there, Bibi behaved badly.  During the march, the PM of Israel focused discussions on Sarkozy, the former right wing President of France and major opponent of Hollande.  Later, in his major address at the Paris Synagogue, the Israeli leader welcomed everyone by saying he had come from Jerusalem, “the eternal capital of Israel.

Hollande left the synagogue early.
