Sony Pictures reportedly is considering British actor Idris Elba, who’s black, for the lead role in the next James Bond movie. Not so fast, says Rush Limbaugh: “James Bond is a total concept put together by Ian Fleming. He was white and Scottish. Period. That is who James Bond is, was.” He added, “I know it’s racist to probably point this out.”

Yeah, Rush, it is. It’s also stupid, but then, so is almost everything else you say. Let me explain it to you. Concepts, like societies, evolve. Sometimes concepts even change to keep up with a society that’s changing.
While we’re in a politically incorrect mode, I can think of at least one white guy I’d never cast in the James Bond role: Rush Limbaugh. He’s too old, bald, and fat (did I leave anything out?).
Can you visualize these two blobs of aging and inflated protoplasm as 007 and Miss Moneypenny in a James Bond action film? Neither can I.
