Mr. Ransdell is an easy target, BUT he raises a very real issue. “White” in America is a racist term .. it has less to do with genetics than it does with the acceptance into a class characterized by privilege, prejudice, and .. on the part of official minorities .. blame. A Jew who calls himself “white” is claiming to belong to that class. The term has nothing to do with race or, even with appearance. If Jews are “White” are Greeks or Italians also “white?” What about Arabs? Is Ted Cruz, a self described Hispanic, not white? Is Barack Obama white because his mother was from Kansas? Is the obviously African descended Indian tribe behind Connecticut’s Foxwoods Casino, black, White or Native American?
